North-East Asia Forum on Trade and Transport Facilitation

UNESCAP SRO-ENEA and the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI) supported by UNDP will jointly organize the North-East Asia Forum on Trade and Transport Facilitation on 23-24 October 2012, in cooperation with the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Republic of Korea, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and the United Nations Network of Experts for Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (UNNExT)
The Forum aims to enhance trade and transport flows in North-East Asia through greater partnership and better communication among the subregional countries and between the public sector and business communities. The Forum will bring together public and private sector stakeholders on trade and transport from China, Japan, Mongolia, Republic of Korea and Russian Federation, to share perspectives and practices on trade and transport facilitation and develop recommendation for closer cooperation. The Forum is organized as a series of three meetings: (i) Private Public Dialogue on Trade Facilitation; (ii) Second Meeting of the GTI Trade Facilitation Committee; (iii) Seminar on the Development and Facilitation of International Intermodal Transport in North-East Asia.
